A guy (exchange student): “Oh, you’re from Romania?”, with a grin on his face.
Me: “Yes.”
The guy: “That’s so cool! I have a friend who had a Romanian girlfriend and he says all Romanian girls are pretty!”
Me: “Well, that’s nice of him, but it’s not very accurate…”
The guy: “But you’re Romanian, you’re pretty, he was right!”
Me: “Thank you, still… You know what I mean. We’re just like any other country, we don’t grow models in our gardens…”
15 minutes kater, the group was being introduced to another exchange student (male). The guy I had been talking before introduced me first, with a huge smile on his face: “She’s from Romania!”

IMHO, the procent of pretty girls in Romania is higher than most other countries.
It’s got to do with genetics, if you ask me. Too bad Ro is such a crappy country in many other aspects.

Your post is obviously quite funny. However, I’ve experienced similar situations, guys hitting at me in clubs (in the US, Berlin) and being really convinced I’d be an easy catch just because I’m Romanian. Long live prostitution without borders, hence the fame of Romanian “girls”. And that really pissed me off. Well… maybe it’s just my feminist side speaking.

Hm, when he said “all Romanian girls are pretty” he really said “all Romanian girls are easy-to-get”, and that is a general misconception. And is our fault in part.
Your ideea (although it was a joke) about Nicoleta Luciu is a good ideea though! I vote for Nicoleta Luciu as the image-ambassador of Romania! That should do it!!

so far, the romanian girls i’ve met were not beautiful at all.. But i agree, on the internet, it’s possible to find some good looking ones from romania.
